**Artist Ezzat Zain** was born in July 1958 in Fayoum Governorate. He developed a passion for theater through his father, a multi-talented theater artist. He began his first theatrical experiments at the age of seven and continued his love and practice of theater throughout various educational stages. He also practiced theater in clubs, youth centers, and mass culture, where he was accredited as a director starting from 1984, directing nearly forty plays.

Among his most notable plays are "Two in a Basket," "The Southern Moon Murder" adapted from the complete works of the poet Amal Donqol, "The Arrest of Tareef Al-Hadi" by Mamdouh Adwan, "The Family of Toot," "The Case of the Shadow of the Donkey," "Rabia Al-Adawiya," and "A Party on the Stake," among others. His works have spanned Egyptian, Arab, and global theater.

**Career and Achievements:**
- **Foundation of Fayoum University Theater Group:** Ezzat Zain founded the Fayoum University Theater Group and participated in most of the festivals organized by the university. Through the Egyptian Theater Club, which he established a branch for in Fayoum, he sought an independent theater with aesthetics and an experimental approach.
- **Notable Productions:** Zain directed over 30 plays, including "Just Watch," "The Cobbler is a King," "Playing in the Forbidden," "Rabia Al-Adawiya," and several plays at Fayoum University Theater, such as "The Case of the Shadow of the Donkey" and "The Family of Toot."
- **Acting Career:** Despite his extensive directing experience, Zain continued acting throughout his artistic career. His role in the play "The Forty Rules of Love" opened many doors for him to participate in numerous television and film works after being noticed by the industry professionals.
- **Recognition:** The director Mohamed Fadel praised Zain, stating, "Ezzat Zain is a creative talent whose appearance was delayed, but when given the opportunities, he emerged as a master."

**Early Life and Education:**
- Ezzat Zain's journey with theater began at the age of 7 in primary school, participating in his first theatrical work with his father, who was a playwright, designer, and decorator, in the play "The Price of Freedom." He played the role of a child killed by the enemies.
- During middle school, he acted in the play "Marriage on Divorce Papers."

**Accolades:** He was honored by Fayoum University for his contributions to theater.
