Welcome to the SOIC Filmmaking Academy. We are thrilled to have you join our community of visionary creators. By accessing our platform, enrolling in our courses, or participating in our labs, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with SOIC.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SOIC website, services, and software. Our goal is to provide a professional, respectful, and creatively stimulating environment for all filmmakers.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By clicking "Sign Up," "Enroll," or otherwise using the SOIC platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
2. User Conduct & Community Standards
SOIC is a professional environment. We expect all students to maintain the highest standards of creative integrity and mutual respect. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- block Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.
- copyright Plagiarism or unauthorized sharing of Academy course materials.
- dangerous Intentional disruption of live sessions or online forums.
- security Attempting to bypass security or scrape data from the platform.
3. Intellectual Property

All lectures, course materials, video lessons, and proprietary workflows remain the exclusive property of SOIC. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license for personal educational use only.

You retain 100% ownership of the original films and scripts you create during the course. By submitting work for review, you grant SOIC a license to feature snippets in our showreels for promotional purposes.
4. Enrollment, Fees, & Refund Policy
Payment Terms
Full payment or an approved installment plan is required before accessing course materials. All prices are listed in USD unless stated otherwise.
Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day "Cinematic Satisfaction" guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the course, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not completed more than 20% of the course content.
5. Limitation of Liability
SOIC Academy provides professional training but does not guarantee employment or industry success. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SOIC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of our services.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding related to your access to, or use of, the Platform shall be instituted in a state or federal court in Los Angeles, California.
